Archiving and Digital Preservation Policy

The International Journal of New Findings in Health and Educational Sciences (IJHES) is committed to the long-term preservation, integrity, and continued accessibility of its scholarly content.

Digital preservation is an essential component of responsible scholarly publishing. IJHES therefore maintains multiple preservation and backup mechanisms to reduce the risk of permanent loss of published content and to support continued access to the scholarly record.

Website Archiving and Backup

The electronic content of IJHES, including the journal website, published articles, bibliographic metadata, and essential publication records, is maintained on secure digital infrastructure.

The journal maintains backup copies of its essential content in separate storage locations. These backup procedures are designed to protect the journal's content against technical failures, accidental data loss, hardware problems, or other unforeseen disruptions.

The journal's primary website is intended to remain continuously accessible to readers, subject to routine maintenance, technical interruptions, and circumstances beyond the journal's control.

Long-Term Digital Preservation

To support the long-term preservation of its published scholarly content, IJHES participates in recognized digital preservation services, including:

CLOCKSS

IJHES participates in CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) for long-term digital preservation.

CLOCKSS provides distributed preservation of scholarly content through geographically separated archive nodes and is designed to protect digital scholarship against the risk of loss or permanent unavailability.

In the event that journal content becomes unavailable due to a qualifying trigger event, CLOCKSS can provide preserved content in accordance with its preservation and access policies.

LOCKSS

IJHES also participates in the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) preservation system.

LOCKSS uses distributed copies of digital content to support long-term preservation and continued access to scholarly publications.

The use of distributed preservation infrastructure provides an additional layer of protection for the journal's published content beyond the primary journal website.

PKP Preservation Network

IJHES also uses the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) to support the preservation of journal content published through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.

The PKP Preservation Network provides digital preservation infrastructure designed to preserve the content of participating OJS journals and support continued access to scholarly publications.

Multiple Preservation Mechanisms

The combination of journal-level backups and participation in recognized preservation services provides multiple layers of protection for the IJHES scholarly record.

These mechanisms are intended to reduce dependence on a single server or hosting environment and to support the long-term preservation and availability of published articles.

The preservation policy applies to the scholarly content published by IJHES, including:

Author Self-Archiving

IJHES permits and encourages authors to preserve and share their published articles through appropriate personal, institutional, or subject repositories, subject to the journal's copyright and licensing terms.

Authors who deposit their articles in repositories should provide complete bibliographic information and include the DOI and a link to the official version of record on the IJHES website whenever possible.

Authors should retain the bibliographic information, DOI, copyright notice, and applicable licensing information associated with the published article.

Continuity and Accessibility

IJHES is committed to maintaining continued access to its published scholarly record.

Published articles are assigned persistent DOIs through Crossref, which provide stable identification of individual articles and support citation, linking, and scholarly discovery.

Digital preservation services and backup mechanisms complement the journal's online publication platform and are intended to provide additional protection against the loss or unavailability of published content.

IJHES considers the preservation of the scholarly record to be a fundamental responsibility of the journal.
