Complaints and appeals

Complaints and Appeals

The International Journal of New Findings in Health and Educational Sciences (IJHES) follows the guidelines and principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) regarding complaints and appeals related to the editorial and peer-review process.

IJHES welcomes legitimate appeals against editorial decisions. Authors who wish to appeal a decision should provide clear and substantial justification, together with any relevant evidence, additional information, or data that may support their appeal.

Authors may submit an appeal letter to the Editorial Office at:

Email: editor@ijhespub.org

Appeal Letters

An appeal letter should clearly explain the grounds for the appeal and may include, where applicable:

  • The specific reasons for appealing the editorial decision

  • Details of any technical or factual errors identified in the editorial or peer-review process

  • Specific reasons for disagreements with comments or conclusions provided by reviewers or editors

  • Evidence relating to a potential conflict of interest or other procedural concerns

  • Additional or new references, evidence, information, or data relevant to the manuscript

  • Any other information that may help the editorial team reassess the decision

Appeals should focus on substantive and objective issues related to the manuscript or editorial process. Simply disagreeing with an editorial decision, without providing additional justification or evidence, may not be sufficient for an appeal.

Review of Appeals

The editorial team will acknowledge and review an appeal and normally provide a response within one month of receiving the appeal.

Following consideration of an appeal, the editors may:

  • Uphold the original editorial decision

  • Reconsider or reverse the decision

  • Request a revised version of the manuscript

  • Request additional information or clarification

  • Initiate an additional or independent review process, where appropriate

The final decision following an appeal will be communicated to the author by the Editorial Office.

Decisions made following an appeal are final within the journal's editorial process.

Complaints

Complaints concerning the editorial process, peer review, publication procedures, authorship, conflicts of interest, research integrity, or other journal-related matters may be submitted to the Editorial Office at editor@ijhespub.org.

All complaints will be considered fairly and confidentially, with appropriate attention to the circumstances and evidence provided.

For further information regarding complaints and appeals, authors and other interested parties may contact the IJHES Editorial Office at editor@ijhespub.org.
